The Committee

We are currently recruiting onto our committee!

Wakoos benefits greatly from being a registered charity as it means we can provide quality childcare at an affordable cost to everyone. To continue to exist as a charity we must be led by a committee of volunteer trustees. We welcome parents, grandparents and others who are interested in joining our committee and contributing to the ongoing success of our nurseries. The committee ensures that proper procedures and policies are in place to manage the charity’s resources effectively. We also assist and support the management team in providing a future vision whilst maintaining the reputation and values of the charity.
 

We hold an annual AGM, usually in November, which is open to all. At the AGM, members vote on the new trustee officer roles and we give an interesting overview of the state of the charity and recent achievements and challenges. We are always looking for more volunteers to join the committee and become part of our valued team and we benefit from having members with a wide range of backgrounds and skills.
