Butterflies (Preschool)

Our Butterflies room is also home to our oldest pre-school children. For these children we help create the perfect environment to prepare the children for the next stage of their education.

Play is still the focus but, through play, our experienced practitioners challenge and extend children's learning. For example a simple story can lead to many activities that incorporate mathematics, literacy and communication. 

The day has more structure to aid with the transition between preschool and primary school. Meals are served at 8am, 12pm, 5pm with a snack mid morning and mid afternoon. Group times, story times and phonics session also feature throughout a typical day.

The children love to explore the wider environment and often go on guided walks to the train station and visit local parks.
