Pre-School

Our Pre-School room is home to our oldest nursery children. For these children we help create the perfect environment to prepare the children for the next stage of their education.

Play is still the focus but, through play, our experienced practitioners challenge and extend children's learning. For example a simple story can lead to many activities that incorporate other areas of learning such as maths, understanding the world and expressive arts and design. 

The children's day has more structure to aid with the transition between nursery and primary school. At 9.00 children are asked what they would like to do during the day, the staff then use this to help them plan for the rest of the day, getting out activities and resources that will be enjoyable and educational.

The children love to explore the wider environment and sometimes go on guided walks to the train station and visit local parks.
