Forest School sessions are:
Monday to Thursday, 9am-12 noon (2-4 years)
Term time only.
Next available sessions:
4th January until 17th February
and
28th February until 7th April
Fees:
£5 per hour for children usually attending Wakoos during the requested session (£15 per session)
£8 per hour for children NOT attending Wakoos during the requested session (£24 per session)
A waterproof coat with hood, warm for winter months
Warm clothing for colder weather - lots of layers are better! (if appropriate)
Full length trousers, no shorts!
Wellington boots/warm waterproof boots
Spare socks and clothing to change into if needed
Gloves and hat (in cold weather), no scarves!
Wakoos will supply quality waterproof trousers.
What happens if it is raining or snowing?
Forest School will go ahead whatever the weather UNLESS conditions make it unsafe to do so.
How will I know if Forest School is cancelled?
If it is cancelled you will be contacted via e-mail, as early as possible, on the morning of the session.
What happens if my child cannot attend Forest School or we are late?
If you cannot attend a Forest School session or are running late please contact us on 01403-786800, so a message can be passed on. You will still be charged for the full block of sessions.
Where do I drop off and collect?
Sessions begin and end in Station Road Gardens, Station Road, Billingshurst. We are situated in the quiet gardens behind the nursery garden, overlooking the swimming pool. You can gain access via the footpath through the wall from the main park or the footpath down the side of the Children and Family Centre,
Where can I park?
You can park in the Wakoos Centre4Children car park and walk your child around to the garden area that is adjacent to the nursery garden.
Who runs Wakoos in the Woods?
Sessions are run by qualified Level 3 Forest School Leader, Caroline Harris and a Forest School Assistant, Meg Heimer.
How many children will be there?
There will be a maximum of 6 children per session.
